Teach on the Beach – A preview of the day

To read the blog post where I reflect on how this day changed my life, click here.

True or False: the best way students learn is to have a positive connection with the teacher. TRUE.

To teach means to connect, basically. To put that belief to the test, I took a portable whiteboard down to the iconic Venice Beach Promenade in Los Angeles, CA, with the goal of sharing the gift of math... by first making human connections with people from around the world.

The experiment worked.

In the videos that will follow this preview, you'll see folks from a variety of countries, of all ages, having every opinion of math you can think of, coming together to learn math together in an act of human connectedness. This day changed my life.
