Geometry – Surface Area of Cylinders

1.) Click to print the worksheet

2.) Watch video using worksheet

3.) Take the quiz (includes prisms)

The BEEometry is flying high with an intro look into calculating the surface area of cylinders. We purposefully avoid a formulaic approach, and instead focus our antennae on understanding the cylinder from a conceptual level. That way, we can understand it on a deeper level, which sounds as sweet as honey. We'll cover lateral area, the circumference and area of the circle, and set you up for volume in future sessions.
